Crown & Banner is made by ("we"). These terms cover buying the game on this website and playing it.

Buying the game

Crown & Banner is sold through itch.io, which takes your payment and gives you the download. itch.io's terms apply to the purchase itself.

The price shown at checkout includes any sales tax or VAT due in your country. Once your payment goes through you can download the game straight away. See refunds for changing your mind.

What you get

A licence to download, install and play Crown & Banner for Windows on computers you use, for your own enjoyment, and every early-access update we release until the full release.

You may not sell, share or upload the game for others to download, or pass off its art, music or writing as your own, without our permission. The game and everything in it remain ours.

Early access

The game is still being made. It may have mistakes, crash, or lose saved games, and it changes from version to version. It is provided as it is, without any promise beyond what the law where you live gives you.

Playing online

Online games go through our relay server, which passes the game's traffic between players. We may change or end online play, or block players who abuse it or other players. Other players see the name you choose: keep it decent, and treat them with respect.

Its content

The game shows fantasy battles and violence (blood can be turned off in Settings), and dark themes: war, captivity, betrayal and monsters. It is a work of fiction: any resemblance to real persons or events is coincidental.
